Please use RSS feeds

This site has an RSS feed available. If you don’t know what RSS is, read this:

A feed is also known as a “web feed” and the technical term (which you’ll see a lot) is “RSS feed.” A feed contains the latest content in a form that your newsreader app understands. (Your newsreader checks the feed automatically, every few hours.)

Tons of websites already have feeds, mostly news sites and blogs. You’ll often see a link at the bottom of the page that says “RSS” or an orange icon similar to this:

Whenever you see a website with a feed, that means you can subscribe to that site.

When you subscribe to only one site, you might say “This doesn’t save me much time.” But when you end up subscribing to 10 or 20, you’ll find that your newsreader becomes your regular place for news and to hear the latest.

You won’t miss content (unlike Facebook, there’s no algorithm deciding to drop content from your feed unless the author pays) and it’s spam-proof. Had enough? Just unsubscribe from the feed.

 About Feeds

RSS is an open protocol, which means there are may tools for generating and reading feeds. If you’re at all technical, you could probably make your own reader with a little effort. But you don’t have to, just google “best RSS readers” to find a list of existing apps that let you get started, often for free.

For writers, RSS is great because you don’t have to pay for email delivery software to send people new posts (although if you really want to do that, I recommend Buttondown). Your feed is just another page on the site.

It ships as a binary. Install once and use for multiple sites. Be free of node_modules.

It is full-featured (no plugin dependence!) and receives regular updates.

Despite this, I’ve found it to be very stable.

It’s fast.

Like, really fast.

Abhimanyu's work

Putting scene

Putting scene is an app/website where users flock to book the interesting offline events happening in Bangalore. The way it differentiated itself from other local competitors like District was by manually curating the good events out of a large volume of events from other websites (yes, we listed events listed on our competitors’s website too) and by partnering with interesting venues/resturants to list events on the app/website. This means that it required three pieces of software

An app/website for consumers to come and book events.

A platform for restaurants/venues i.e partners to upload events and see bookings.

An internal dashboard for operations team through which they could upload the manually curated events and oversee the event and partner details.

As the founding engineer, I saw built and launched the Putting Scene website, Partner dashboard and Admin dashboard within first quarter of me joining the company.
I then built the company’s first ever Android and iOS app while learning how to build one on the go. The app was built and launched on 9th October, 2025.

Emergent

I joined Mukund Jha, founder of Dunzo and Madhav Jha in the pre-seed phase of Emergent on the recommendation of Siddharth Sharma. At that time we were heavily in experimentation phase but our initial goal was the build an Agent which could automate UI testing of apps and websites. An MVP, I built an agent which could take natural language commands like “Book a flight from me from Bombay to Delhi” and write playwright code to achieve the goal.
I later built a telegram bot which could receive these intructions as telegram messages. It would operated on a remote machine to achieve it’s goals and would converse with user if it got stuck anywhere.

Although impressive when they worked, these demos were extremely flaky. Thankfully, the demo worked on call during our YC interview. I’m not sure how big of a role it played, but we eventually got into YC.

Kasrat

Right now most of my time goes into building tools that make writing on the web feel less like a chore. I’m interested in the space between a plain text file and a full-blown content management system, where the tooling gets out of the way and lets you focus on the words.

A few things currently on my desk:

A tiny static site starter that doesn’t need a theme or a tutorial to understand

A command-line tool for turning a folder of notes into a searchable archive

Some experiments with variable fonts and fluid typography

A long-overdue rewrite of my reading list, which has been a mess for years

None of these are ready to share yet, but I’ll post updates here as they take shape. If you’re working on something similar, send me a note. I’m always happy to compare approaches.
